Another Manzanita Burl "Relic Series" piece. This bud vase has great deep red coloring throughout and its a pretty solid piece with about 3/4 of it intact. Manzanita Burl is extremely rare and extremely hard. It is also full of stones and dirt as it is the root system and grows in very rocky soil types. When turning these pieces I run into stones all thru them and it makes the turning very difficult and expensive due to blades being ruined by rocks. Some pieces have rocks imbedded within them even after the piece is finished as the burls grow around them and rocks are all thoughout the burls. Approx. 12" high
